Prose 'n Poetry Corner

Each month I will look through my notebooks and find a little bit of prose 'n poetry. Often written in a few minutes, so please don't expect Wordsworth, but hopefully these entries will provide a little interlude in your day. A chance to think and ponder, to daydream or to visualize, to perhaps see things in a different light.

Please see what you think and let me know if it is useful or not - highlights some valuable points but in a lighter vein . . .

I just want to flower
be myself, let me be a tower
of strength and be positive in what I do
give me support, let me contribute my whole life through

what is your goal
steal a bit of life today
just do not always act the fool
make time for what you must do and say

we like to build a wall
keep everything out, it is so tall
beware that you might go for a fall
if you only rely upon the size of your wall
and not gain understanding and wisdom each time life does you call

Do you have the look
do you at all feel misunderstood
have you given in life or each time just took
what you felt should be yours and not given a thought
to what you each day write down in your life's book

I am in my head
I'd rather be somewhere else instead
it is but all I know
I want to reach the heights and not stoop so low
if only I was sharper, understood more

and not respond to life's lessons in a manner so slow
